DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -

A driver is dead after a Tri-Rail train struck a car Thursday morning.

Delray Beach police said the car was crossing the railroad tracks west of Interstate 95 when a northbound Tri-Rail train struck it.

The driver died at the scene.

Seven passengers on the train were injured.

The train was carrying about 90 people.

While the track was closed, Tri-Rail arranged for a bus to carry travelers between the Boca Raton and Delray Beach stations.
