Drunken driver accused of striking 7 cars arrested, Boynton Beach police say

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A man accused of driving under the influence and striking multiple cars has been arrested, Boynton Beach police said.

James Dean Martin, 47, of Delray Beach, has been charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

Police were called before 4 p.m. Saturday to the scene, after Martin attempted to drive between cars that were stopped at a red light on Congress Avenue. Police said he struck seven cars.

No one was hurt in the incident, police said.

Witnesses and victims detained Martin until police arrived, according to Boynton Beach police.

Martin will be taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, police said.
