Elliott Key reopens after 18 months after damages from Hurricane Sandy

Renovated key part of Biscayne National Park

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Eighteen months of reconstruction on Elliott Key after damages left by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012 have come to an end.

Elliott Key has now reopened its new marina and campground.

The renovated key is south of Key Biscayne and part of Biscayne National Park.

A renovated ocean-side boardwalk on the park's mainland also reopened.
