SWEETWATER, Fla. – A Sweetwater man who suffers from dementia was found walking along the Palmetto Expressway Tuesday night, hours after he was reported missing.
Police began searching for Alfonso Hidalgo, 59, around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. His family reported Hildago had last been seen walking his dog around his home at 10210 SW Seventh Terrace, but had not returned.

Hidalgo was later found walking along State Road 826 by Ruben Barbosa of Miami. Barbosa escorted him to a nearby service station and called police.
He was taken home by police late Tuesday night.
