England playing twice at Sun Life Stadium ahead of World Cup

England facing Ecuador, Honduras

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The England men's national team will play Ecuador and Honduras at Sun Life Stadium ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

England will face Ecuador on June 4 and Honduras on June 7.

England is set to train in Miami ahead of the tournament. The Three Lions open the World Cup against Italy on June 14 in Manaus, Brazil.

"Miami continues to be a premier soccer market in this country and we have no doubt that the area's fans will come out to watch England prepare for the 2014 World Cup against two teams that will also participate in Brazil," said Relevent Sports CEO Charlie Stillitano, who announced the games Thursday.

Former England captain David Beckham is expected to place his Major League Soccer franchise in Miami.
