Exit ramp to close for guardrail repairs

Closures also announced for next week

MIAMI – The exit ramp from westbound S.R. 836 to southbound Northwest 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road will be closed to perform guardrail repairs.

The Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) said the closure will take place for six hours on Monday, Nov. 18 at 10 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 4 a.m.

Motorists who wish to travel southbound on Northwest 42nd Avenue should exit S.R. 836 at Northwest 37th Avenue. Continue west on NW 14th Street and turn left to access southbound LeJeune Road.

MDX said the contractor for the S.R. 826/S.R. 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project will also perform the following closures:

Monday, November 18 - The westbound SR 836 ramp to northbound SR 826 will be closed between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for roadwork operations. Drivers can:

--Continue west on S.R. 836, exit at NW 87th Avenue/ NW 12th Street
--South on NW 87th Avenue
--Enter the S.R. 836 eastbound ramp to connect with the S.R. 826 northbound ramp

Wednesday, November 20 - Westbound drivers on S.R. 836 wanting to go north on S.R. 826 will need to exit approximately 150 feet earlier onto a new temporary ramp.

In order to prepare for the opening of the temporary ramp, MDX said the existing westbound S.R. 836 ramp to northbound S.R. 826 will be closed the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 19 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Drivers can:

--Continue west on S.R. 836, exit at NW 87 Avenue/NW 12th Street
--South on NW 87th Avenue
--Enter the S.R. 836 eastbound ramp to connect with the S.R. 826 northbound ramp.
