All of the family members were taken to Broward General Hospital with serious injuries, Sunrise Fire-Rescue spokesman Chris Piper said.

The condition of the male driver of the AAA service truck is unknown.

Although the cause of the crash remains under investigation, authorities said it appears that one of the drivers may have run a red light.
