Fans celebrate before BCS Championship

South Beach full of Notre Dame, Alabama fans

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – BCS fans partied all weekend long in preparation for the BCS National Championship game.

This year two dynasties, University of Alabama and University of Notre Dame, will go head-to-head to claim the title.

Fans from both sides cheered and chanted through the Miami Beach streets. Both are very confident they'll be taking home a win.

But as thousands upon thousands of those die-hard fans anxiously await game day, they are enjoying what South Beach has to offer.

Restaurants are cashing in on the large crowds extending seating onto a closed Ocean Drive, while managers hustle to keep up with booming business.

If you plan on heading out to South Beach, beware that Ocean Drive from 5th to 14th street is closed off to traffic until Monday morning. The street is closed off because the Discover Championship Fan Experience was being held Saturday and Sunday, from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. along Ocean Drive between 7th and 8th streets.

On Sunday, the party capped off with a concert featuring DJ Irie, Dierks Bentley, and Flo Rida.

The BCS Title Game is Monday night at Sun Life Stadium.
