HIALEAH, Fla. – A driver was killed in a Sunday morning crash on the Palmetto Expressway.
The crash happened about 3 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Northwest 114th Street in Hialeah.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a sport utility vehicle struck a retaining wall and overturned.
A passenger was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. The passenger's condition was not released.
The northbound lanes were closed at Northwest 103rd Street until just after 9:30 a.m. as authorities investigated.
