Father, son shot to death at Ray's Meat Market

Shooting victims identified as Seibert Prescott, Roger Bennett

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A father and son were the victims in a shooting outside Ray's Meat Market.

Fort Lauderdale police said Seibert Prescott, 63, and Roger Bennett, 30, were fatally wounded in the parking lot of the business Wednesday morning.

Detectives said Prescott and Bennett were involved in an argument with another person at nearby Blue Park when it turned physical. The fight spilled into the parking lot when someone pulled out a gun and shot the victims as they tried to run off.

Prescott and Bennett were taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.

Police are still searching for the shooter.
