FBI arrests 2 in Best Buy Mobile store robbery

Wyatt Howard, Frederick Robinson face federal charges

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The FBI has arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery at a Best Buy Mobile store on South Beach.

Wyatt Howard and Frederick Robinson, both of Lauderhill, are facing federal robbery charges.

The store, located at 1571 Alton Road, was robbed by two masked gunmen April 15.

According to arrest records, the suspects walked in the front door and locked it behind them. They ordered the assistant manager to the back of the store, where they tied him up and loaded electronics into a bag before they took off.

The assistant manager wasn't hurt.

Investigators said one of the store's surveillance cameras captured an image of the suspects without their masks. Detectives said they used that photograph and fingerprint evidence to make the arrests.

According to the arrest affidavit, both men are currently out of jail on bond for committing a similar robbery at a Best Buy Mobile store in Minnesota last month.
