MIAMI – A 21-year-old man from Miami is facing federal charges for his alleged involvement in at least two bank robberies, FBI agents said.
Jesus Alvarado was arrested Friday in the 2900 block of Southwest Second Street.

According to the FBI, surveillance video showed Alvarado committing a robbery May 27 at a Chase Bank branch at 2750 SW 22nd St. and on June 22 at a Chase Bank at 2209 SW 37th Ave.
In the first incident, the man on surveillance video wore all black and dark sunglasses and had his hair slicked back.
Surveillance video from the second incident showed the man wearing a hat, sunglasses, a dark-colored T-shirt and cropped pants.
FBI spokesman Jim Marshall said the suspect implied that he had a weapon in the second robbery and demanded money from a bank employee.
Agents did not disclose how much money was taken in the robberies.
Alvarado is expected to make his first federal court appearance Monday morning.
