FBI offers $5,000 reward for info on Miami bank robbery crew

Group believed to be responsible for at least 4 recent bank robberies in Miami

MIAMI ā€“ The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for any information regarding a bank robbery crew that is believed to be responsible for at least four recent and similar robberies in Miami.

The latest robbery happened Thursday morning at the BB&T Bank branch at 2375 SW 122 Ave.

In that case, surveillance cameras captured three armed robbers entering the bank and demanding money from an employee. The robbers left the scene in a white Chevrolet Cruze.

About a month prior, another BB&T Bank branch was robbed on the morning of Sept. 25 at 869 SW 107 Ave.

Agents said one robber entered the bank and demanded money from an employee. He then left the area on foot.

And on Aug. 28, agents said one robber entered the same BB&T Bank branch that was robbed last week at about 9:50 a.m. Ā 

They said the man demanded money from an employee and then left the bank on foot.

A Citibank Branch at 7795 W. Flagler Street was also robbed on Oct. 23.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies. Agents said money was taken in each case, but the amount will not be disclosed at this time.
