FDLE said it began its investigation in 2011 after being contacted by investigators at the Palm Beach County Clerk and Comptroller's Public Integrity Unit.

Agents said they believe Mckeithen, using the clerk's database, updated her own driver's license, removing the fact that her license had been suspended.

While working in the clerk's office, Mckeithen's job was to process payments from customers who were paying their traffic citations.

Investigators said she is accused of stealing money from a customer and trying to conceal the theft.

Mckeithen was arrested at her Sunrise home and booked into the Broward County Jail on a $9,000 bond.
