Smoke was reported Saturday morning at Carnival Cruise Lines headquarters in Doral, prompting worries of a fire inside.
Smoke could be seen coming from near the top of the building. A statement from Carnival indicates an elevator transformer on the roof of the building overheated and generated smoke.
The smoke triggered an automatic alarm system, and Doral Fire Rescue was dispatched. No flames were ever found, and there was no damage to the building. No injuries were reported.
