A Coastal Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service through 8:00 a.m. Monday for Miami-Dade County including Miami Beach.

Elevated water levels and high waves may lead to temporary local flooding of low lying areas including Alton Road at 10th Street, N. Bay Road at 55th Street, and Indian Creek Drive.

"I've instructed the City Manager and administration to closely monitor the high tide and take all necessary measures to avoid morning traffic gridlock," said Miami Beach City Commissioner Deede Weithorn, "We need residents to do their part by giving themselves extra time as they head to work and school in the morning."
