A driver hit two Osceola County deputies during a Saturday funeral procession of a Pulse nightclub shooting victim, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP Sgt. Kim Montes described the female driver as "impatient,"  as the procession honoring Jean Carlos Mendez caused traffic delays in Kissimmee.

Orlando ABC affiliate WFTV reported that the driver of the car saw a gap in the line and tried to cross. Paramedics took the deputies, who were in stable condition, to a nearby hospital.

Mendez was born in Puerto Rico and worked at Perfumania. He met his partner, Luis Daniel Wilson Leon, while selling him a cologne. He also died in the Sunday massacre.
