PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. - A Barry University student won $100,000 in tuition from Dr Pepper during the SEC Championship game.
Garrett Booker won the Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway during halftime.
Booker competed against another college student to see who could throw more footballs into a giant Dr Pepper can. The student won by scoring 20 balls in 30 seconds.
To prepare for the competition, Booker had help from Home Depot, who donated a device for him to practice on. He trained at Miami Country Day.
"With this check, I hope I can just change lives. Actually, I will change lives," said Booker.
