Broward residents participate in Walk to End Alzheimer's in Hollywood

Local 10's Constance Jones hosts Broward Walk to End Alzheimer's

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Thousands of Broward residents were expected to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's Saturday during the Walk to End Alzheimer's event.

With the Broward Walk hosted by Local 10's Constance Jones, 2,400 of Broward residents were expected to unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions.

Event organizers said participants were able to learn more about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment and support programs and services.

Each walker also joined in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease, organizers said.

Registration for the walk began at 7:30 a.m., with an opening ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
