Coral Springs Middle School teacher faces DUI charges

Deputies: Joanna Sadowski, 41, veered off road several times while speeding

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A Coral Springs Middle School teacher is facing DUI charges after she was arrested Aug 2. while driving her car in Lake Worth.

Joanna Sadowski, 41, teaches English and gifted students at the middle school.

According to coralspringstalk.com, Sadowski was observed by a deputy veering off the side of the road several times in her red 2012 Mini Cooper. She was also allegedly driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone.

The deputy claimed Sadowski smelled of alcohol, was slurring her speech and said her eyes were bloodshot and glassy.

According to the police report, Sadowski told the deputy she was driving home from a local bar and admitted that she had been drinking.

Sadowski failed three out of four sobriety tests, and two Breathalyzer tests were triple the legal limit of .08.

Sadowski was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and was later released.
