Mother aquitted of killing daughter maintains babysitter kidnapped 2-year-old

ORLANDO, Fla. - Casey Anthony maintains that a babysitter her attorney acknowledged was fabricated at her 2011 murder trial was a real person.

Anthony was questioned in a Jan. 23 deposition related to bankruptcy proceedings. A transcript of the deposition was filed Tuesday in Orlando federal court.

Anthony was acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter. After Caylee disappeared in 2008, Anthony told investigators a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez had kidnapped her.

The Kissimmee woman has sued Anthony, claiming her reputation has been ruined.

Anthony told Gonzalez's attorneys she met the babysitter in 2006 and the woman cared for Caylee once.

Anthony said neither the babysitter nor the woman suing her for defamation did actually kidnap Caylee. She declined to answer questions about why she lied to investigators.
