Florida housing market on the rise

Data from Florida realtors' shows the median number of days a property took to sell last month was 57 days for a single family home. It was a median of 61 days for a townhouse and condo, which is only about two months.

Statewide there were more than 19 thousand closings in March, up 9 percent compared to a year ago.

In South Florida, the Miami Association of Realtors says the median price of a condo in Miami-Dade jumped 19 percent from a year ago to $167,000. The median price on a single family home sky-rocketed 25 percent to $225,000 in March compared to a year go.
