Miami athletes win Key West triathlon

KEY WEST, Fla. - Two 28-year-old Miami athletes have won the men and women's overall divisions at the annual Key West Triathlon.

Yunior Rosete finished in 1 hour, 55 minutes and 27 seconds Saturday. Isabel Olivas took the women's title with a time of 2:11:14.

The Olympic-distance triathlon included a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40k bike ride and 10k run beside the Atlantic Ocean.

Second place in the men's division went to 26-year-old Nicholas Chase of St. Petersburg, Fla., with 1:57:42. Twenty-seven-year-old Josh Eaton of Bonita Springs, Fla., took third with 2:03:26.

In the women's division, Sandra Forero, 34, of Sunny Isles, Fla., placed second at 2:20:38. Miami Beach runner Jessica Anderson, 23, took third at 2:23:04.

The challenge included sprint distance and relay triathlons and attracted 993 registrants.
