MIAMI - Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado weighing in on the possibility of David Beckham and his investors building their soccer stadium on the Miami side of Biscayne Bay.
Miami Beckham United is looking at filling in a city owned boat slip just outside the American Airlines Arena.
Acquiring the public owned prime waterfront property would require the approval of Miami voters.
"They understand and they said they are going to come back to us in two weeks with their numbers, with their ideas, to see if this stadium is feasible on this side of the bay," Regalado said.
The stadium development would also required Beckham and his team to acquire county-owned property known as Parcel B.
