HIALEAH, Fla. - Police are searching for a robber who broke into a Hialeah home Monday morning while the homeowners were inside.

The incident happened on East 45th Street off Eighth Avenue.

Erminia Jeminez told Local 10's Johanna Torres that she and her husband were home when a man entered the house, tied them up and threatened them with a gun.

She said the man told her not to scream or he would shoot her. He then pistol-whipped her husband, Joaquin Valdes, leaving him with a bruise on the side of his face.

The robber got away with some cash, but it is unclear at this time how much was taken.

Jeminez said she and her husband were a little shaken up but otherwise OK. This is the third time couple's home has been broken into.
