MIAMI - Floridians are running out of time to register to vote in the August primary.
Monday is the deadline to register for next month's elections. Floridians must be at least 18 years old by Aug. 26 and U.S. citizens.
People can fill out registration forms in person at county elections offices, driver's license offices or military recruitment centers by the end of the business day July 28. Applications can also be mailed to county election supervisors but must be postmarked no later than Monday.
Republicans and Democrats will select nominees for a number of offices Aug. 26. At the top of the ticket will be the contest for governor.
Florida has closed primaries, so only voters registered with one of the major parties can participate.
