Oakland Park hit-and-run victim dies from injuries

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - The sister of a man who has been hospitalized since he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Oakland Park told Local 10 News her brother has died.

Lornette Francis said her brother, Rollin Francis, 35, died Thursday afternoon at Broward Health Medical Center. 

Francis was a father of four and was visiting from Jamaica.

Detectives said the crash occurred late Sunday night in the 1800 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard while Francis was trying to cross the boulevard.

Detectives are looking for a tan Cadillac Seville that likely has damage to the front bumper, hood and possibly the windshield.
