One dead in police involved shooting

Police say the suspect pulled a knife on them and they were forced to fire

MIAMI, Fla. - One person was shot and killed in a police involved shooting Saturday evening.

The Miami-Dade Police Department says several officers were dispatched to a residence at Southwest 197th Avenue near 160th Street, in regards to a dispute call.

When the officers arrived, a man pulled a knife on them and that's when they say they were forced to fire.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured in the incident.
