HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Miami-Dade police found the body of a man in a canal near Ingraham Highway and Southwest 232nd Avenue Wednesday afternoon during their search for 18-year-old Jesus Trejo.
Officers found his Honda close to where they found the body. Trejo was last seen Tuesday morning at a friend's house.
"He left at 9 o'clock in the morning and never came back," said Xiomara Lopez.
The medical examiner will perform an autopsy. Police didn't immediately identify the body.
Police continued to search for that man Thursday morning.
