Police search for man who exposed himself in Miami neighborhood

Officers say culprit could be same man wanted for sexual assault in Coral Gables

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Police are trying to determine if a man who exposed himself in a southwest Miami-Dade County neighborhood is the same man wanted for sexual assault in Coral Gables.

The latest incident happened behind the Gables Court apartments just south of Bird Road and Southwest 67 Avenue. Police say the man was spotted inappropriately exposing and touching himself around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the man was wearing a dark brown shirt with long sleeves and a ski mask. The description is similar to the description of a man wanted for sexual assault in Coral Gables.

Police say there were several instances in the area that they are calling suspicious, and believe the same man could be responsible. One of the instances was of a man exposing himself, and inappropriately touching a young girl at a Dollar Tree store.

Miami-Dade officers say most of the offenses are happening in the morning around 7 or 8 a.m.
