HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - A 5-year-old boy in need of a heart transplant is capturing the attention of the South Florida community, which has rallied to donate Panini stickers for his impressive collection.

Jaime Ponce, who is originally from Mexico, is a huge World Cup fan and enjoys collecting the popular soccer stickers.

Jaime is currently under the care of doctors at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital who have placed him on a Berlin Heart while he waits a transplant. The hospital describes the Berlin Heart as a "mechanical ventricular assist device that does the function of a patient's heart and serves as a bridge to a cardiac transplant."
