FLORIDA CITY, Fla. - The Miami-Dade Police Department has arrested a 15-year-old boy, who they said is responsible for the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy in Florida City.

Darin Booker was found shot to death outside a home Sunday night on Northwest 13th Street near Northwest Fourth Avenue.

Witnesses told police a group of boys were playing with a gun when it accidentally fired, but Booker's family believes he was targeted.

According to the arrest report, Curtis Hollinger aimed the gun at Booker's chest and fatally shot him. Police said Hollinger fled the scene before officers or paramedics arrived and hid the weapon in a bush nearby.

Hollinger faces charges of manslaughter and resisting an officer without violence.

The arrest report states Hollinger originally provided false statements to investigators, but he later admitted to fatally shooting Booker.
