According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred in mid-January at Timber Creek High School, where her daughter attends.

Deputies said Waddle confronted the coach during practice and was upset that her daughter was suspended from a competition. Waddle said her daughter, who suffers from anxiety, was forced to sit and watch her squad perform, which was humiliating, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The coach said Waddle started shouting in her face was asked to leave, according to deputies.

Waddle returned 15 minutes later, began shouting at the coach again and swung a punch while holding her daughter's uniform, deputies said.

The coach said she wasn't seriously injured but added that she felt a stinging sensation from the clothing, according to the sheriff's report.

Two witnesses gave similar accounts of the incident, deputies said.

Waddle told News 6 on Wednesday that she didn't touch the coach and referred all other questions to her attorney.

Waddle was arrested but was later released after posting bond.
