FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A boy from Fort Lauderdale was rushed to the hospital after he got his finger stuck in a metal pipe that is part of his bed post.
Firefighters were called to the home just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday. They said crews initially disassembled the bed and took the child to Broward Health Medical Center with his finger still stuck in the pipe.

After two hours, and considering whether surgery was needed, paramedics used hand tools to cut the pipe just enough so that the child's finger could be freed.
The child was released from the hospital after a few hours and suffered minor bleeding to his finger.
