Fort Lauderdale Firehouse 2 ranked busiest in U.S.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale Firehouse 2 was ranked busiest firehouse in the U.S. and Canada by Firehouse Magazine.

In 2013, Firehouse 2 responded to 25,018 calls. One of the firehouses' trucks was also ranked as the busiest engine in Florida and the 10th busiest in the country.

Besides Fort Lauderdale, Firehouse 2 responds to fire and medical emergencies in the city of Wilton Manors and Lazy Lake.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 2012.
