Man shot gas station robbery victim several times, police say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police released Monday the sketch of a man who shot a robbery victim back in October.

Detective Tracy Figone said in a news release that the man in the sketch was involved in an Oct. 11 early-morning armed robbery and shooting at a Sunoco gas station, 1301 NE Fourth Ave.

"Two armed suspects approached the victim in the parking lot and demanded his personal belongings," Figone said. "The victim feared for his life and attempted to comply with the suspects' orders."

The robber shot the victim several times and fled, Figone said.

Detective Todd Hill was leading the investigation.

Police were asking anyone with information to call Hill at 954-828-5567 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
