4 suspected Cuban migrants come ashore in Hallandale Beach

Migrants found along beach early Tuesday morning

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A boat carrying suspected Cuban migrants came ashore Tuesday morning on Hallandale Beach, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

The 12-foot sailboat was found at 230 S. Ocean Drive behind the Parker Plaza condominium.

Authorities said a biker spotted the men and called 911.

According to the Border Patrol, the migrants were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment to sunburns.

Border Patrol officials will interview the migrants about details regarding their voyage before they are released.
