PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – More technical glitches were reported Thursday morning as students in South Florida public schools resumed taking the writing portion of the Florida Standards Assessments.
A representative with Miami-Dade County Public Schools said eighth and ninth-grade students saw a white screen on their monitors for about 30 minutes before they were able to begin testing.

The representative said the school district's information technology department is working on the issue and said students students in both grades will continue testing. 10th graders in Miami-Dade County were not tested on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Broward County public school students in grades 9-10 continued testing amid technical problems as well.
Broward County Public Schools spokeswoman Tracy Clark said in a statement Thursday that the district "experienced issues with the computer-based testing platform," but the state applied "fixes" for those issues.
"The district is not experiencing access issues at this time," Clark said. "We will continue to closely monitor this situation."
Later Thursday, a Miami-Dade County Public Schools spokesman released a statement saying 10th-grade students would begin testing Friday.
