NEAR NAPLES, Fla. – Wildlife experts rescued a badly injured Florida Panther kitten on Monday.
The panther, which is believed to be about 9-months old, was caught in Southwest Florida.
Florida Fish & Wildlife veterinarians responded after someone called to report they saw the female panther kitten dragging her rear leg.
They believe the panther was hit by a car and suffered a broken leg, broken ribs, and a bruised lung.
Surgeons at the Animal Specialty Hospital of Florida placed a steal plate in the cat's leg to mend the bone together.
