FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -

Local 10 News has learned the Piazza Di Giorgio, also known as the food court, in the Galleria mall has been ordered shut again.

Inspectors with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation were at the mall again Wednesday.

Among the violations, the inspector writes,"Observed one dead rodent under equipment at sushi station, 2 dead roaches in dish area under shelf and one dead roach in prep area under table."

"Rodent activity present as evidenced by rodent droppings found. Observed about 50 fresh rodent droppings behind pizza oven in pizza station. Observed gnawed pizza card board boxes in same area."

The same place was ordered shut Aug. 14. On Aug. 28, several violations were noted.

Rodent droppings were found in a dish area and spotted on a sanitized plate on a shelf. There was also mold in the ice machine.

A stop sale was ordered on turkey that was out of temperature, as well as egg sandwiches.

A company out of New Jersey runs the food court. In a statement, the company apologized to customers but never provided an explanation or remedy.

"The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale takes great pride in maintaining the best possible shopping environment for our customers and mall employees, so we were disappointed to learn about the food related concerns," mall management said in a statement. "We take this matter seriously and are working with our tenants to ensure that they adhere to the highest standards."
