CORAL GABLES, Fla. - A gas leak has been contained after officials say construction crews hit a gas line in the alleyway behind a hotel in Coral Gables.
The Westin Colonnade Hotel and surrounding businesses were evacuated Saturday afternoon by the Coral Gables Fire Department.
Officials said guests were allowed back into the hotel around 7:28 p.m. and businesses have since reopened.
Some wedding parties were moved to another hotel. Repairs to the mainline will go until about midnight, said officials.
Authorities said no one was injured or taken to the hospital as a result of the gas leak.
