Authorities said the diver was reported last seen one nautical mile southeast of Lake Worth Inlet. Sector Miami watch-standers also issued an alert after he failed to surface at his scheduled time.

A PBSO marine unit responded to the diver's reported location and recovered him from the water with no reported injuries. The diver was returned to his boat.

The Coast Guard said it would like to remind divers to follow safety procedures and to follow planned dive schedules to help prevent search and rescue emergencies. For more information about diving safety, click here.
