BOCA RATON, Fla. -

Boca Raton Police are looking for the man who stole money from the charitable donation box at St. Joan of Arc Church Saturday night.

Just after 8 p.m. last Saturday, officers responded to a report of a theft from the church, located at 370 SW 3rd Street.

Investigators say that church employees found the donation box had been broken into and several hundred dollars had been stolen.

Surveillance video shows a man entering the chapel around 1 p.m. He sits in one of the pews and waits for the only other person inside to leave.

He then goes to the back of the church, breaks into the locker, removes the money and puts the door back to hide the crime.

The suspect is a white man with brown hair. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and a white visor.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mark Horowitz at 561-338-1392 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
