Gunman robs Hooters in Boca Raton

Manager forced to office, made to open safe

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Hooters restaurant in Boca Raton.

The robbery occurred while the manager and another employee were closing the store early Wednesday morning.

Boca Raton police said a man approached them, pointed a gun at them and told them to take their phones out of their pockets.

The gunman then forced the employees to take him to the office, where he told the manager to open the safe.

Before he left, the gunman told them to count to 100. He got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Neither employee was injured.
