Gunman threatens to kill 7-Eleven employees during robbery

Same 7-Eleven store targeted 4 times in past

DORAL, Fla. – Police are trying to identify two men who robbed a northeast Miami-Dade County 7-Eleven in March.

Miami-Dade police Tuesday released surveillance video of the robbery at 1000 NE 215th St.

Surveillance video shows two men enter the store and put masks over their heads, one of them pulling a gun on the employees while the other keeps watch.

Police said one of the employees was nervous and struggled to open the cash register, prompting the gunman to threaten to kill them.

An oven timer sounded, seemingly startling the crooks, and they ran off empty-handed except for an employee's wallet, which contained $70 in cash.

The store has been targeted four times in the past, with previous robberies reported in January, last November, September 2012 and April 2009.

It's unclear whether the same culprits are to blame in each of the past robberies.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Miami-Dade police at 305-471-TIPS.
