FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Urban League of Broward County released a report detailing the health of African-American families in the county.
According to the report, the zip code 33311, which includes parts of Fort Lauderdale, Lauderhill, and Lauderdale Lakes, has a diabetes rate 210 percent higher than the county rate and an unhealthy food index 111 percent higher than the county rate.

The organization spent six months gathering information from various community health care provides for the report.
