Center offers 'Sexi Juicing', martial arts
Dr. Etti's Wellness Center and Miami Martial Arts Academy offers healthy lifestyle programs
A doctor of holistic nutrition offers her Sexi Juicing program for those needing a cleanse as the new year begins.
"We need to have fun. We need to have passion. We need to really, really feel that, in addition to being healthy, we also need to stimulate our taste buds," said Dr. Etti Ben-Zion.
Dr. Etti's Wellness Center and Miami Martial Arts Academy, located at 6550 Collins Avenue, teaches people how to make their own juices.
"The juices are the best fast food ever. We're kind of shifting to understanding that in order to be healthy, we don't need to spend hours in the kitchen," said Dr. Etti.
"Is it expensive?" asked Local 10's Johanna Gomez.
"You can have this to be really economical by not using organic fruits and vegetables and just do conventional, and that will definitely cut your budget," answered Dr. Etti.
Users also create their own personalized programs.
"Juices are a beautiful, like blood infusion. They just go right from the stomach into your body, no energy needed in order to digest it, and it's a pure infusion of minerals and antioxidants," said Dr. Etti.
The Miami Martial Arts Academy is also there to enhance health lifestyles.
"Mind, body, and spirit, we are going to get you physically, mentally healthy," said Joseph Drabkin, a martial arts master and instructor who heads up the Academy’s Martial Arts program. "These are so many valuable lessons that martial arts teaches and one I always feels stands out above all the rest is discipline."
Discipline, Drabkin added, helps people stick to their plans.
"Martial arts training, even the juicing, is intimidating to most people the first time you do it," he said. "We are going to teach you how to stick with it rather than encourage you to commit to it legally."
Anyone from 4 to 80 years old can participate in any of the wellness program. Prices vary.
