A fan who won a pair of Dwayne Wade autographed sneakers learned from the Miami Heat superstar himself that the autograph wasn't real.
Karim Khatib, a participant in Michael Jordan's Flight School basketball camp, tweeted a picture this week saying that he had just won a pair of Wade signed shoes.
Unfortunately, only 20 minutes later, Wade threw a wet blanket over the good news by tweeting that the autograph on the shoes was not his.
Neither Khatib or officials from the Jordan camp responded to Wade's disappointing revelation.
The Heat all-star, who is currently in London on a promotional tour, might win over even more new fans if he sent the heartbroken hoopster a pair of officially autographed kicks.
