Hit-and-run crash caught on camera in West Palm Beach

Police searching for driver of SUV, witnesses

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Investigators are searching for the driver of an SUV who was captured on surveillance camera striking a pedestrian who was crossing a street earlier this month in West Palm Beach.

The incident was reported Nov. 22 at the intersection of 45th Street and Broadway Avenue.

The video shows Tomas Tzay-Morales, 32, walking in the crosswalk when he is struck by a white SUV. The SUV slows down and then drives away. Another SUV driving behind the vehicle also slowed down but failed to stop and help Tzay-Morales.

Tzay-Morales was taken to a hospital by paramedics, where he continues to recover.
