Busutil said the event was an  "opportunity for people to learn more about the surprising abundance of architectural styles," in the Royal Poinciana area, which is bordered by U.S. 1 to the east, 21 Avenue to the west, Hollywood Boulevard on the south and Sheridan Street to the north.

The mission of the HHS is to preserve and disseminate information about the history of Hollywood. The group also seeks to preserve Hollywood’s landmarks and raise awareness of the city’s heritage.

The next installment of the series will take place on Nov. 19 and will feature the photography of Gene Hyde. The speaker will be Sue Gillis, who is  an author and curator of the Boca Raton Historical Society and Museum.
